if i want to build some 8"+1" horn tops,
several,
very narrow dispersion,
long horn,
go with 18sound 8m400  with a selfmade phase plug
and bms 4550,
and use some long 12" sub-horns like (similar to) eaw bh760,
do you think a 15inch midbass bandpass-horn could meet
the 8" nicely?

speaker for the bandpass horn would be
CPA15-1000.
the link doesnt work, but here some TSP:
qts 0,19
bl 25,3
vas 220
fs 31hz

hornresp shows very similar relults (almost identical)
to the usb!!!
maybe 2db more at 200hz and a roll of at 260hz
instead 220hz like the usb...(simulation in 0,5pi)
for the low-end its almost the same.
ah and i simulated the usb with rcf l18s800 (which i already built=)

im happy for any statements or opinions!

ps:
according to hornresp it would work if i use 4 or more 8"horns,
but i think for my taste the usb with 18s800 doesnt sound so well at ~180hz.
so do u think with the cpa15-1000 it could work?
thanks

okay to ask my question more clearly:
how high does a 15" bandpasshorn with this driver still sound good?
how low you can use some 8" horn loaded tops (4+), long enough horn, still sounding good
with good spl?
thx

You will need a strait horn to go high enough to meet the 8's.
