Ben, do you produce all your stuff via CNC nowadays? I've seen your CNC videos on Facebook but wonder if you only use the CNC for large jobs nowadays. I can understand why CNC is so useful because of the inherent accuracy (once the programming has been sorted out!!) and repeatability but also understand why, in small scale production, jigs etc would be used. Anyone else have anything to chip in on the matter - especially about the initial outlay and reliability of low cost CNC machines vs hand making cabinets etc ?

For sidefills, can we have two enormous things of a type that might be venerated as Gods by the inhabitants of Easter Island, capable of reaching volumes that would make Beelzebub soil his pants.

correct I do about 50 / 50 hand and cnc, for speaker builds. My cnc does a lot of other cutting non speaker related. The cnc has enabled me to take on other projects that can be very time sensitive.

I´v recently recieved the Shaper Origin handheld CNC. Beside being an amazing tool to mess around with in general, it is great for small quantities of odly shaped speaker panels and to do guides for the usual router jobs like speakons ex. It's inherently labour heavy per concept, and it's not heavy duty as such, so wouldn't do large sheets for more than two cabinet sides for instans. Best regards Fred |

I’ve been pestering them about when they’ll be available in Europe but they’ve no answer yet. Can’t wait to get my hands on one.
