hello,
really enjoying this section atm, really seems to be some exciting ideas going on. I am really intereseted in the tapped horn design but have little knowledge of the theory and have found most posts relating seem quite fragmented or inconclusive - i suppose it's still being played out! Anyways I have just destroyed 2 of my 15" McKenzie drivers in HDs and am thinking of loading them into an Apache or other tapped horn design once reconed. They really require better cooling and I want something more "usable". So here are the Specs - any ideas if they'd suit a tapped horn?? if not any other 15" box suggestions? any help appriciated, regards, Tom. oh it's the c15 500bs ! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Edited by tomschute - 01 May 2008 at 8:20pm |

It looks like it has useful specs - Mid Qts,mid Fs,mid Xmax.
there are various threads on diyaudio.com talking about the tapped horns. Id probably prefer a high xmax model for tapped horn. Perhaps staiper has some plans for something? |
