AL250 From BI PAK 125W RMS into 4 ohms
single supply 50v to 80v

Quasi Baxandall output stage using 4 2N3055s
Big output coupling capacitor required

Repaired quite a few of these, I still have the circuit diagram, I believe I might have the remains of a PCB for one of these

They also look a fair bit like the old Tuac modules to me.

It's a difficult choice, would you rather have:

Ok - this thread feels like it´s from an age ago! Sign of the times, I guess. How quickly everything has changed over here.  Ouch

And like so many things, this project got put on the back-burner and awaiting better times, if they ever come, but thanks for the info.  Thumbs Up

Wow, can't believe these showed up after all these years. Had 8 of them purchased from Direct Electronics (Barry)  opposite woodgrange park station late 70's early 80's era.

Used them to power 4x homemade Altec 816 copies loaded with McKenzie drivers, also from Direct Electronics.

Built a simple transistor inverter and run them in bridge mode, one bridged pair per cab. Think I was the only schoolkid around with a 1kw sound system. Remember it being scary loud but not that low.
You don't always get what you pay for, but you always pay for what you get.
