Hi, complete newbie here. I am building some 186 horns following the speakerplans design and wanted to know whether these drivers are suitable for the cabs.

https://bishopsound.com/shop/18-inch-1000-watt-replacement-speaker-from-bishopsound/

Don't have any previous knowledge and not sure what I'm supposed to be looking for in terms of what makes a good driver. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Maybe at low Volume

when you strat driving them hard, the may tear the cones apart

its risky a bit tbh, with unknown drivers really

Wouldn't put them in a horn.. Weak motor, high Qts and probably weak cone.

Had a look around and can't find any p audio c18-650el for sale, probably going to go with the pd 186s unless i can find a cheaper alternative, any amp recommendations for these? was thinking probably wiring 2 drivers in parallel and using an amp in bridged mode

You're much better off spending out on decent drivers the first time rather than buying cheap stuff and blowing it all within a few months and then having to buy more expensive stuff anyway. It may mean it'll take longer to get all the drivers you need but fewer expensive drivers will usually outperform a higher number of cheap drivers anyway.
