Thinking of buying some bass bins to add my 2x 2k flown line array rig, at the moment just using some cheap behinger 15" single bins, but not realy up to the job if doing live band pa instead of just music playback on AV presentations.
Was looking at Thoman the box 2x18 in one long tall deep cab, which can have 4 wheels on the back, easier to truck than seperate boxes, good efficency for 1w input and looks like there might bee a folded horn inbetween the two speakers to give deeper bass output than just infinite baffle types, Rated at 1600w at 4ohms per cab for £600 inc vat, and was thinking of powering them with a single berry 2500 in bridged which gives over 2k into 4 in bridge (for only £220 per amp from Thoman/studio spares)
Do you seasoned experts on here recon id be better off buying a more known second hand brand from Bonza/ london mic centre like turbo flash, martin 218, etc, which prob gives more efficiency, cleaner sound, for the box size and a proper beefy QSC / crown amp, but would all cost more than new stuff from Thomman

a single berry ep2500 wont be enough for a pair of 218 cabs, one berry per cab will be much better.

there was thread on here recently where someone was praising the perfermance of the thomann box 218, have a look for it.

to me these subs look v similar to g subs, and are reflex in nature. Ive heard that the drivers are copy jbl, but suprisingly good.
i agree with static regarding the amps - maybe have a look at the larger thomann  t amps.
