compared to a soundboks3 the bass is much much better and deeper, exactly what i was looking for. The tham12 moves ALOT with very little power! Super efficient

Hooked up 4x 4fe32 faital pro to a 2 channel china amplifier (only using 1 channel 50w 24v) its very loud but the soundboks beats it in the amount of spl but i have ordered another tpa3255 monoblock to hook up to the faitals and a 36v battery. The goal is to get approx same spl as the soundboks3, about same size but much more bass out of it. Worst case ill add another 4 4fe32 to get an array of 8 and use a 2x300 tpa3255 amp

18,1kg with battery and amp, 15,8kg without. It’s lighter then I expected which is a good thing

Thats good going for a plywood box. Is it 15mm birch ply ?

Hmmm.... would be fantastic (for me) to build a THAM12 from hexalite (I have enough of it to make one) - but those angled cuts etc. would make it hellish difficult methinks.
Would divide the weight of the enclosure itself by about 2/3 !! ... but would also need to be handled very carefully.

Damn I've had that stuff for _years_ now - keep threatening to use it to build a speaker box, but ain't got around to it yet <g>.

its 15mm construction plywood i think its pinewood or something similar, not birch, all the birch is damn expensive now when Russia is not allowed to export it anymore Ermm

Are you putting a delay on the soundboks (or other mid-top) when used with the THAM12 ?

How are you getting on with that DSP ? I ordered one to tinker with - still waiting for it to rock up ....

no delay, I have no idea how to use it! Think i read in some tham12 thread that the delay is so small that it doesnt make too much of a difference

In fact about the DSP I just started to experiment with it, and to set gain and crossovers its great! a little hard to get the crossover to slope very steep like 48 db/oct but i think i got it close enough. Got some virtual bass on the small line array and it sounds great!

I didnt find a way to make the mid/treb mono output but im soon getting a mono amplifier so that should be good enough. I can also just use the soundboks as mid/high but i really want to use the line array because of its small size and weight, might just build a new tower with 8 speakers instead of 4.

And i also want to start messing around with REW but for that i need a calibrated mic, so maybe later on!

some pics of the EQ, feel free to use the same values as a base (if you can read it Pinch)

Highpass (The tham12 have a 110hz cutoff freq built in the amp)

Low pass
