I have a pair of behringer 1800d subs that id like to get a bit more efficiency out of.

plan is to use driver and amp from 1800d and make an active 186 horn.

Anyone see any problems with this idea?

Well it might work, but you will never know unless you try it out as the t/s parameters are not available for that driver so you can't simulate it.

Could be a fun little project, and you can upgrade to a compatible driver down the line :)

You could try a tapped horn.  Most drivers work pretty well in them.

Gonna be hard to know though unless you've got t/s parameters like patryk1305 said.  In my experience a lot of the behringer drivers seem to rebranded pyle.

seems like a lot of effort for what will probably provide little to no improvement! Just cabs twice the size which don't drop so deep...

dont waste your time and money, behringer drivers are total sh**
and even if it would work "great"(it wont) ,186 doesn't go low as that berry reflex box,so you lose ...
plus that amp power is also questionable, better leave it the way it is  Smile

He never said he wanted go low in the first place, he wants to gain efficiency.
