Best compact speakers less than 7.5" tall

   My primary viewing space has a few constraints, one of which is the L 
and R speakers must go on the console under the TV. There's a 8" gap 
between the bottom of the TV to the console, and I'm giving myself about
 half an inch of buffer.

I'm upgrading from a 20-year old Boston Micro setup -- 90x L&R, 90c Center, and VRS Micro surrounds.

At this point I'm leaning towards getting the KEF Q150B for LR and 
turning them on their sides. Is there another option I should be 
considering -- either another super-compact set where the L/R is less 
than 7.5" tall or a different larger bookshelf on its side?

I've got some flexibility on price. My main concern is getting big sound from a small package.
