When we used to run x1 and
Hd15 together they need to be run 135 degrees out of phase and time aligned to give the best response through the crossover region. That was based on quite a bit of analysis with smaart... Obviously if your xover only does polarity inversion then flipped polarity might be as close as you'll get to 135 degrees... |

Hi mate, 8 PD1850 ver1 left from a club that we install a new PA.
I do not have enclosures for them. I was wondering what cabs to build. I have a lot of building experience But I always done clones so far. I am not feeling capable designing a cabinet. Intend to use them in stacks of four on side. Music material unnown. Something on a medium side of throw. Install or touring unnown. So they must be a all rounder. And they must have enough handles and casters. I prefer design that does not need a grill. Kind Regards, V |

Not sure if its 'the best' but i can vouch 1850 works very well in the cubo 18.

There are now more potent drivers, that will exceed PD186 performance in 186 Horn. |

Shure they are dude. :) ....One of my favorite movies BTW. Do you happen to have an opinion on the subject: Do two stacks of four PD1850 in 1850 horn. Processed. Have sufficient lows for modern music. Muchas Gracias |

Not for me. I've heard 2x stacks of 4x 1850 horns, powered by some of the warmest sounding transformer amps in history, off 3x phase power, & still failed to drop below 50hz. 186 horn with Oberton 18xb1600 should do it. Wsx with Oberton, also good bet. Edited by levyte357- - 04 November 2018 at 4:02pm |

Gsub 2x18 reflex, with Oberton 18xb1600, will play anything, but need twice as many cabs in large venue or outside.
