hello! We run an outdoor techno rave and are looking to build a stonking big sound system, got about $10k to play with. Any ideas? Its in Cambodia so I'll have to import drivers, I can get hold of crown amps, and wood/labour is cheap so the bigger and crazier the better!

Hi Cambo

Before people will be able to help you, they will need some more info.

Crowd size?
Indoor/outdoor? How big is the room if indoor?
Exactly what crowns are available to you? For how much?
Whos $ are you talking about? US? AUS? NZ?

OP has already said OUTDOORS, and looking left underneath his name tells you he's in CAMBODIA.
It's a difficult choice, would you rather have:

A: A vegan son.
B: An OnlyFans daughter

The bigger and crazier the better? Reckon we could convince you to build a massive straight front loaded bass horn that sits under a stage or is that too big and crazy?

Build a metric f##k ton of 1850... like... 32 of them and then hang a pair of splayed tops from each side of your 4 high 8 wide coupled 1850 horns and just power ally the bass straight through the crowd.

Job done.

If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.

And enjoy the side lobes pissing off the neighbours for miles around!

Are people recommending 15s because they’re ‘faster’? That’s because most 15” designs simply don’t go low...

Edit: is this for Kerfuffle?
