I'm not trying to bitch too much here but the microsoft server that
this site is hosted on sucks.

keep getting this message when moving about the forum:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005'

[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does
not exist or access denied.

/forum/common.asp, line 260

Any plans to move it to an apache server running on linux? I'm
sure we could have a whipround to come up with the funds
needed for a year or 2s hosting.
some great deals out there. I use purple-paw for £75 a year:
500MB
mySQL
5GB transfer/month
full 24hr support
running on apache/linux
etc etc.

just a thought.

The SQL problem are related to the sever and are currently being resolved "hopefully"

Modern micosoft sql servers are pretty good these days, and it would be problematic to go over to unix system

cheers
