Hi,
thanks, though name sounds familiar, if so I did send some pictures and sizes but he never got back to me. The main reason I joined the forum was to find alternatives.

This guy sent his first mail just 7 days ago. He then sent a total of 13 photographs.......... but very few measurements. There was no dimension for the bass driver cutout, and non at all for the for the top grill which actually has to be formed around a 90 degree bend.
I was goind to spend the weekend experimenting with some scrap foam to try the top grill but I guess I can go fishing now. YIPEE.

I thought the 301 had cloth over a frame as a grill.
