Theres a contribution to the Q of a box from loss isn't there? I don't know where to look to read about estimating it. Is there a way to estimate it based on stiffness of the material etc? Could anyone direct me to the right paper or equations please (I can probably get just about any journal).
I'm just having a think as to if it would be a cunning plan to do my next build using thick cardboard and an MDF baffle. I know this sounds pretty ghetto (and it is) but this would be very good in many ways. I could also stiffen up the outside using resin. |
