This is probably a daft question but I'd rather ask someone than get it wrong and damage an amp and/or speakers.

I've got a 4 channel amplifier that I'm wanting to use in bridge mode. According to the manual (see below) the positive has to be wired to +1 and the negative to +2 when the amp is bridged. The question is.... is this just on the speakon connector that connects to the amplifier with the other side wired positive to +1 and negative to -1, or would both speakon connectors need to be wired +1, +2?

In bridged mode for your amplifier, the 1+ of channel 1 should be wired on the positive terminal of the loudspeaker, and the 2+ of channel 1 should be wired to the negative terminal of the speaker.
So if you take a traditionnal speakon (1+ on one side to the 1+ on the other side, and 1- on 1-) you only need to modify the end connected to the amplifier, so the wire of the 1- terminal has to be put on the 2+ terminal, no other modification needed.
Be carefull with this cable, if you switch it by error with a normal one, that could lead to complications.
Hope I've been clear.

Thanks for that. That is what I thought would be the case but thought I'd better check. Better safe than sorry n' all that.

I think I will buy a pair of red Neutrik NL4FX connectors for the non-standard ends so that I don't ever use the wrong cables.
