If I connect 4 x 8r speakers (2 in each channel) to an amp in bridged mode, will the ohm go down to 4r a side or 2r?

using an amp in bridged mode is a way of combining the 2 channels into one sort of. so if you connected 4 x 8r speakers in parallel, you'll have a 2 ohm load. to put that on a bridged amp will essentially be showing a 1 ohm load to each channel. so eh.. don't do it.

2 per channel in normal mode is the way to do this really.
