the level on the outdoor stage has always been bad.

a few years ago when the monitors on stage where louder than FOH the hire company stated that they had brought short throw boxes instead of long throw?

its a shame the dance tent cannot go back to the levels in the 90s,when you could hear the music

Well these days it's a choice between those levels or no event. Like all festivals we have to ensure the minimum of disturbance to the local residents.

To be fair though, the levels are not too bad compared with limits on other sites I work on, and you can hear the music in the dance tents. Well at least I can!

Santa pod have told us this year they are supplying a sound engineer to control FOH level on main stage for usc, its not their fault tho, noise complaints are being taken very seriously from the place these days, and it would spoil it for everyone if they lost thier licence because of it, i do agree tho, back in the day we used to make as much noise as we could res9's stacked on 5 218's :(

I was at BugJam this year and have to say that the dance tent, although not really loud it sounded louder than last and was loud enough. It also sounded really nice.
