two things to consider for outdoors:

what power are you using? if you are running off a generator and have limited power you probably want high efficiency bass horns.

do you have noise restrictions? if so you probably want reflex as you can get the same SPL on the dance floor with less volume at a distance.

No restrictions and il be using a high power generators, got two 3000 watt petrol

3000W isn't that big. you would probably want to use one generator to run the sound and one to run lights and everything else.

the generator you run the sound off you will want to connect a dummy load that will draw constantly so the generator doesn't rev up when the bassline comes in.

Cheers for the input, as of now the generators aren't an issue and I have access to much bigger generators if needed :)

I'm still stuck for the right speaker plans to use though, any ideas? X1s, G subs?

What about a stack of wsx? They are tried and tested, and got a lot of approval on here.

hi
i suggest you go on diyadio subwwofer forum and look for Keystone sub or th18 sub.
they are tapped horns and need strong good drivers, but are very efficent and musical, and go low (and make a lot of things shake) even with a couple of subs, while with scoops and traditional horns you'll need more boxes to get to the lowest frequencies - if i rember correctly for the scoop plans here a 38 hz hi pass is reccomended for 2 scoops and 32 hz hi pass for 4 scoops. i hipass my th18 (b&c 18sw115 4 ohm loaded) at 28/29 herz and feed them with a inuke6000 near clip for hours (actually a bridged nu4-6000).
this will not be easy to build but need less amps and drivers than reflex subs.
if you got money double 18 reflex is very flexible and goes deep - but is power hungry

No! Is less effective than front loaded horns all the usefull bandwidth! It can beat super bass horns under 40hz because xcursion. But has NO kick at all! Is a lot more silent than super bass horns.

but surely you would need four of the Super Bass Horns per side to get a big enough horn mouth

It seems that op wants a mono stack..... I would have thought 4-6 large enough frontloaded horns (wsx, super bass horn, maybe martin 215?) will do both good sub and kick, thus eliminating the need for separate kick bins?

I've decided to go with the WSX's (four of them) what 18" drivers would you suggest using?

Sorry for confusing information. Those sbh are fail design. Too narrow.

Here you have comparrison of wsx:

They'll do their job.

What are the plans for the top?
How about mt122?
