I'm making an assumption that you want to make music discs.

Nero has been about a long time and is constantly renewed and is my go-to for making compiled discs.  It's very easy to cut the between-tracks gap from 2 secs to zero so that you can put a disc in on continuous play and not have to wait for the next track each time

What will be your source?? If you're compiling them then get the highest quality source that you can obtain; WAV is great and so is FLAC; if you're using MP3 then 320 is what you should be searching for.

Always a good idea to normalise your music before burning as well so that there's a good amount oflevel available for you.

If you have tracks that you want to burn that have silence at the beginning or end then edit that silence off using a music editiing program; it's real pain when you press the button and the music's not there straight away, and if there's silence at the end then you have no proper way of knowing how long 'til the track ends unless you know all of your music thoroughly.

If your vaccinations were mandatory and nobody in your class had measles,
then you know that you're not a Millenial kid.

also,

yes, most cd burners are plug and play.
unless you got an installation cd in the box, you're prob good to plug it in.
your laptop/pc will show it being added when u plug it in.

Just out of interest, why have you gone down the CD burner route?

What’s the project with this?
