I have seen various sellers on Ebay
selling Cepiar amps , they seem to be British made ex cinema install amps , they look to be very very industrial looking beasts has any one had any experience with them i was thinking of using one for my Logic Ls26/ 4 r subs Rated at 385 + 385 watts per channel @ 8 ohms - 595 + 595 watts per channel @ 4 ohms - 1200 watts bridged @ 8 ohms. |

I'm buying 2 pcs Cepiar RS-450 (Virgin Cinemas edition
 ) on ebay.2x450W/4 ohm, bridge 900W/8 ohm. Arrive a few days. Pictures upload this topic when testing this amp. |

I don't have any experience with them from an operational point of view, but for a while they were made in a part of my Warehouse. I know the guys who designed them and the people who assembled them. If any, at any time, need repairing, Richard Collins on here would be the Man. These people are the same people that designed my Spektra Crossover. They only specialized in Cinema amps.

First impressions:
Massive 16kg, dusty in airflow channel, left fan not work. 4x 19.000 uF/ 80 V Aerovox caps. Toroid ~16 x 8 cm. I clean today, and testing voice tomorrow. Edited by Amateur - 29 October 2011 at 9:45pm |
