Stronger cone maybe, but smaller Xmax. Xmax is crucial in X1

Rcf LF18G401 can be used in x1's and is readily available for a good price.

Hi.
The last four X1's I built a few years back was loaded with P-Audio's 600watt 18" drivers. They sounded better then lots of scoops I heard. If you know that your driver is rated @ 600w why would anyone push more then that to fry their drivers anyway? I understand what you mean. Not everyone has 300 quid to buy those Voids, PD's Celestion's etc. Check out Studiospares.com. they have some good 18" drivers 600w £85. I'm sure they would sound good in the XI, Just don't go mad and pump 1000w through them. I'm guessing 2 of these is more then enough for a crowd of 50..
