As above .... plastic active 10" + comp drv .....might pick up a single one for pretty good price.

OK well I bought one of these ..... couldn't resist for the price ..... Got it cleaned up (painstakingly removed gaffer residue), amp checked, mounting bolts tightened a bit etc. ..... runs nicely ..... and in fact plays surprisingly low ..... spec states 55Hz - 18kHz at -3dB ..... and I wouldn't dispute that. Not especially loud, but sounds quite sweet/pleasing. One puzzle though - the female XLR input socket doesn't have a latch .... thought at first the latch might have snapped off etc. ...... but there's no groove for one ...... Is there a likely reason/rationale for using an un-latched input connector ? |
