it is a phase plug
look here for a simple explanation http://ridleyacoustics.co.uk/SCIENCE.HTML phase plugs are used on many pro audio speakers, dont bother trying to design one or try and match a random driver to a random phase plug, its much easier to buy one that fits a particular driver. |

There is plenty of theory out there and its no harder than horn theory to understand. If your the kind of guy who is up for a challenge and a lot of trial and error I reckon most people could see a task like this through. I don't see why people are so scared of experimenting, the best way to learn is by your mistakes. ![]() They are designed to flatten out the higher frequencies of a response. |
