..... and interpret the T/S parameters, with a view to suitability for a boombox/ghettoblaster type thang. Envisaging something around 50cm x 25cm x 20cm overall size (accomodating 2 drivers) - so enclosure volume would be around 10 liters per driver - reflex loaded, tuned to about 70Hz as per the pdf. Why do they have details "4 ohm driver" when the stated nominal impedance is 8 ohm ? Does this imply a 4 ohm version is available (which is what I would ideally want). Many thanks ..... |

Optimum tuning for indoors use in medium sized room (Q=0.7) is about Vb=4 and Fb=120. The more you increase the box size the lower the Q will become and the more unsuited for outdoors use it will be. Unfortunately decreasing the box size to get higher Q will also mean it won't go as low. Estimated F3 outdoors with optimum tuning would be around 190Hz for this driver. My verdict is, completely useless for that purpose. |
