It's a dual 15 wbin, and many sound-systems have used them as kick bins.
Then got sick of the weight and size, and got BPH instead. Edited by levyte357- - 08 December 2017 at 12:48pm |

Sound lovely when two boxes stacked. Dont do much when used singly.
I think that visually they look great with a stack of three (two bass bins, and one top box). But build quality poor on the boxes that I have used. Needed a lot of additional stapling and glueing. MDF inner panels. (Original Court - not copies). Not a pleasant task getting them up any kind of stairs etc. |

Never had a problem with the 2 x 15's myself had two pairs of them loaded with RCF L15-P200's bit big and heavy yes but everything was big back then, certainly had no problems with build as they were birch ply no MDF anywhere used them in pairs with no problems too

Yes on reflection fine when used singly. To me two bass bins high was "the court stack".
Thats interesting that your boxes were birch ply throghout. Id always wondered about the construction of mine. They were definitely original Court as had the Court branded connector panels and grills. Maybe Court Acoustics used different box builders over the time that they were in production. I always used to wish that mine were had been built by Tony at ASS! Perhaps somebody on the forum knows about who actually built the boxes for Court over the years? |

It could well have been Tony that built some of the court stuff I know be built boxes for many companys back in the early day including Martin audio.
The only box that I've seen from court made in mdf was the 1 x 15" reflex box (and full range box the went with it) from the later stuff, not saying they didn't do others just that I didn't see any and Stephen Court was a bit of a "devils in the detail" type of bloke I would have thought it odd if he were buying birch ply by the pack it would be daft chucking some mdf panels in to the equasion. Saying that he always said the black box system was only ever loaded with JBL, but I know for a fact some were loaded with Fanes to certain customers. The system in the Camden palace was the one to see/hear think it was ten 2 x 15's the width of the stage with four of the 4 way mid highs stacked either side of the stage, it was a very serious system at the time and the only thing that over shadowed it was when the MoS opened |

I am in total agreement with you about the Camden Palace system.
Went there three or four times on club nights, must be about 30 years ago now! Sounded absolutely fantastic. |

I might be wrong but I'm sure there's an interesting thread contribution about court and who built them....
