Marjan is right. Software is good for beginners but it is very schematic and in the end the crossover you can design without measurements will be wrong.

Right software does it all for you. But they are not free or cheap.

Measurements in, accurate results out.

Xover itself rarely affects off-axis without affecting on-axis, but off-axis info is good to see for choosing your xover point to ensure smooth directivity pattern where horn cut off meets the LF nicely. Like when 15" driver gives you 60 degree beam, that's where you kick in your 60 degree horn.
