Crown XTI faults - Service Req'd

   Thanks for all the info guys, These amps were the best new amps I could afford at the time, obviously there are better options for more money! 
I've now had chance to properly test the amps, looks like they were manufactured in 2007. The XTI 2000 seems to get louder and quieter when it feels like it, and occasionally it will work correctly for a few minutes. 

The XTI 1000 is providing a constant sound level but has a crackle and occasionally pops. I use these to drive the compression drivers.  

Sounds like what kedwardsleisure  said about the ribbon problem could be the cause, a bit annoying if it is a fault that crown were aware of! 

I'm not going to attempt to repair these myself, could anyone recommend who is good with Crown amp repair?
