Is it ok to use a CSD lamp in a older mac250.The manual makes no mention of the CSD only MSD or HSD, but it seems to be ok to use the CSD in the newer 250s,kryptons and entours.I got a old 250 in today to replace the ignitor,it was badly burnt out.But I have seen this before in mac500s that used CSD lamps

generally different lamps have different input voltages/currents, then different output qualities such as colourtemperature [how 'white' it is], luminocity [how bright], physical temperature it reachs [some lamps may have same fittings but some fixtures may not be able to adequately cool one that is higher performance/temp] ect ect....
in answer to your specifics, yes i believe they do work, but the MSD is far superior. No point in skimping with things like this. |
