Hey guys i"m new here. I am looking for some advice and this looks like the place to get it. I have 4 old freshly reconed CV 188e 18s that I would like to use in something. I was checking out the 186s and thought they may work in that cab. I was originaly checking out the old Earthquake or Afterburner plans and came across the 186s. I am looking into using these for pro sound. Nothing major, just for local clubs and live music with my band. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

the 186 works well in the earthquake cabinet, so it shouldnt come out too bad using a cerwin 188. you wont have anywhere near the power capability of the pd186, but the 188 driver will probably work in the 186 horn. why not build some earthquakes?

I thought about the earthquakes or even the afterburners but have been looking around for options. I also pulled out the other two this morning and to my surprise I have (2) 188e and (2) 189es. I thought they were all the same but they are not. I'll have to look up the T/S on the ES's and see how they compare.
