Anyone got any opinions on the Cerwin Verga 5000 (which weighs in at 40kg!), especially when compared to the XLS 5000?

Find internal pics of both, and you will have your answer.

One is copy of QSC 5050, with 2x transformers.

One is cheap, rebranded chinese tat, with severe lack of transistors, called CV 5000. LOL

Ha, ok, thanks very much indeed for that - I'll steer clear.

What do you think about the Wharfedale 2800?

Best googling for user experiences on these, but they're not for me.

Would prefer used quality amp.

Thanks a lot for your help. I suppose it depends what I'm using them for. I have a small system for personal use and want to run two PD156s which I can do in bridge mode with the Wharfedale. Incidentally I'm putting the two PD 156's in one ported box as my bass unit and I've realised the PD1550's might have been better at delivering bass. You can't help me out on that one and tell me if I'm right in thinking I've blundered and bought the wrong drivers!! Thanks again.
