some companies are offering 3 year warranty, others only 1 year. that's probably some guide to the confidence they have in their components

sinbosen seemed to be first to offer 3-year. Think Admark offer 3 year now too. CVR offered 1 year but I negotiated 2-year from their export rep.

Popped back to this post after three years.

We ran the Cvr for three and abit years and only had one fail at power up and it was bad, channel c blew the fronts off all the mosfets perfectly while sounding louder then a double barrel shotgun never sh*t my self so much, the dsp also went faulty. after we spoke to cvr they wanted around £480 for the dsp and output board, so then i repaired it my self, cvr did send me the schematics for the dsp and was told not to release it to anyone, the output sections on these amplifiers are easy to repair and the dsp is not to bad but at first with no schematics of the dsp it was frustrating as i could not figure out some of the values of the smd parts that failed, the Dsp also starts the powersupply up which i learnt while repairing the dsp so if the Dsp board fails the amplifier main psu will not boot.

We run them at 2 ohms and 2.6ohms but most the time  at 4ohm, we run them down to 30hz on occasions on the 21 xl subs and they deliver and could also supply enough power to get them smoking if the limiters were set high enough so they can deliver power regardless to what some people will say.

We have now moved over to Admark the ad442 dsp galium nitride with added features from Admark that these amplifiers do not come with as standard as out of all the suppliers with these amplifiers only Admark could fullfill all our requests and these have a bass enchancer and so does the ad420 none of the other brands have the enchancer. now when comparing temps the admarks do run cooler even with every channel at 2.6r as the fans are higher airflow and the mosfets are different. I have never personaly looked under the hood on the psu section to see what parts are used between them.

Other thing we always noticed is the cvr powersupplys make a ticking noise and this is normal.

one word of advice is if your in to free partys or do alot of festivals and you run smaller diesel gensets you might run in to issues with these amplifiers specific if the frequency is off this will cause them to shutdown and display ac mains power fail.

Hmmn, so maybe the many Admark failures here in the Caribbean are  attributable to 2r hard, <30Hz usage @ 32 to 36 deg C?.

That being sàid, Trooper uses his K35'a @ 2r day in without fail...
Some hàve switched back to CVR exclusively after catastrophic failures.
