Build the X1 or pairs of instead, will probably sound better. The B2 is very loud but not really musical.

i beg to differ. i would say that the b2 is one of the most articulate and uncoloured subs around. most people make the mistake of using too many of them in relation to the bass cabs. forget copying them - without the correct control and amps they wont do anything special. |

Ah well, I don't think we'll ever agree on this one! I've done listening tests, simulations and IMO the B2 doesn't do what it's marketed as. It certainly isn't an infra sub, in fact it doesn't really do a lot below 40Hz, not naturally anyway. Give me just a big pile of QSubs any day and leave the B2's in the warehouse!
