I have a DB mark DP48II.
Is there any software up available for it? if so how is it done? Its currently on v4.3.2. I also have a DB mark DP36II which is on A-DV1.02. My Mac (laptop) died from logic board failure, I was using a Mac with parallels desktop (running windows XP I think) which has worked fine for years. New laptop with parallels desktop and windows 10 the DP48 is not showing up on the control software but the DP36 is. Would anyone know how, why or what to the above? thanks |

you need to use the software number that matches your product firmware number.
have you down loaded the drivers for your dp48.

Hi bee
I thought I had but it appears not. Could you point me to the correct ones? In windows the 'prolific usb to serial port' has a error on on DP48 but not the DP36 " This device cannot start. (Code 10) A device which does not exist was specified. " Edited by dlyxover - 05 December 2018 at 8:53pm |

Mircea I've installed the driver from your download and the software but still no joy.
I'm beginning to think its a windows 10 software issue or the USB to serial board on the DP48 has failed. In windows device manager, its still got the yellow ! triangle and "This device cannot start. (Code 10) A device which does not exist was specified." in device status. But with the DP36 (which is working) it dose not have warning in device manager.

I've had a similar problem, tried it on an XP computer and worked first time, was the same firmware version as yours too.

Perhaps they used a fake prolific serial chip:
