the wicked one plan is available free from the decware site... steve deckert's other designs (such as the imperial and death box) are paid for and whilst i know people who have some of them, i'm not sure random distribution is quite in the spirit of the thing... as i said though, the wicked one is listed for free, just have a little explore in the site and you'll find it soon enough.

this has been discussed on the forum (decware forum that is) and people aren't really so sure. the two drivers do effectively share that horn mouth and final flare, although to what extent is not really known. perhaps you should go register yourself stateside and see what the seasoned decware builders have to say on the subject. bifurcated horns, one for the advanced questions section i think, i've been building up to a big question in there but i'm not quite there with what i'm trying to ask.

i cut my wicked one in half, and extended the horn around the the side, so it was basically firing past the speaker hatch. Cab dimensions were then 32" x 18.5" x 13.5".
it was loaded with a JBL 10" GTO driver, 250wrms. All i have to say about the sound of it in a pug 206 (in the boot) it was fantastic! we had to turn the amp down, the pressure levels in a car were awsome, sounded great with dirty techno going through it...
It is a great design!

Good call fellas! I have been a member of the Decware forum since '06 and while Steve Deckert makes some amazing tube and highly efficient home audio Hi-Res speaker systems, he does make his living sell ing the results of his genius in audio. He has placed the Wicked One (original design) up for all to use freely. Just do a google and you will find it for free. I have built sixteen of these dual ten band pass enclosures and they always amaze. The Deathbox is one that he sells the plans for, however. It is available in a single 10 or a single 12 inch version. I have built both and I can recommend them each very highly. They are intended for car use, but also serve well for a small home system. Most of his designs are intended for home use, however if you need a refrigerator sized band pass box that puts out enormous amounts of bass, try the 18" House Wrecker. He also has a "reworked" modernized, beefed up, braced up version of the Jensen Imperial that looks very interesting for the Vintage audio enthusiast. It has already been mentioned, but the man makes his living selling high end tube amplifiers and speakers to go with them. Except for the original Wicked One, all his speaker plans are for sale.

I have built six of these. 1 - 8" using scavenged JBL home theater sub drivers. Amazing! Used it in my bedroom system for about three years. 4 - using various forms and configurations of 15" drivers. Three of which using true pro audio drivers and are still being used by musician friends to place in corners at small clubs they play in to hep with room nodes in small clubs. One is recently finished and I have yet to test it fully, using one JBL M151 in the upper chamber and two cheap low Fs Jamo drivers iso-loaded in the lower chamber. 1 - using the cheapest 18" Parts Express buyout drivers I could find. Even that was pretty powerful, but I always wanted to build one using really HD pro audio drivers in this size. That one still sits in the top of a small school's auditorium, seating 200, blowing out plenty of decent bass. Bear in mind it is a bandpass box, with all the associated compromises bandpass physics brings into play. While they are super easy to build and fun to play with, I would not recommend anything but the 18 or 15 versions using pro drivers. However, if you have some shit drivers sitting around and need to gain some construction experience, you would get about the best possible sound out of your cheap drivers by throwing them in iso-coupled arrangements in a Housewrecker.

Incidentally, I went to Steve's site to place a link to his WO plans, but they are no longer free. Sorry! I have built 14 of the WO bins. They always kick ass, but again, bandpass physics come into play.
