Just took it for a raz outside with a 2x12" and i now have some pics....
Now that i have glued it up better it sounded great, I just need to clear up some of the glue and add wadding & connections etc...
While i was playing it (at only 220w per driver) we go a phonecall from the the farm half a mile down the road saying they could hear it.

Oh yea, forgot to mention...
I did some sinewave tests last night, Here are the (vauge) results:
they absolutely loved 40Hz!
I tested them from 200 - 30
200 sounded a bit funny all the way down to 160/150 ish
from about 150 it just got louder and louder (or seemed to) all the way down to 45/40 where it seemed to be loudest, when i played 30 the speaker moved violently (and didnt make much sound) and worried me a bit! I assume it became unloaded at this frequency!! Lucky i wasnt putting too much power into them or i could have dameged them.
I only put 250w into each one, my friend had a mix and my face was like
EDIT: Clarified ramblings Edited by Jake_Fielder - 17 January 2008 at 3:57pm |

yeah you might want to be careful with sinewaves below port tuning ![]() Are you using a high pass subsonic filter? |
