Just wondering if anyone has tried loading or modelling an HD15 with the Delta 15LF instead of the preffered PD154 and Kappa 15LF?
I know nothing about TS parameters so wouldn't know left from right if i were to compare them, tried downloading horn resp but don't know what parameters to put in to model it. Any info would be appreciated... Toby Edited by Tobin - 20 March 2007 at 9:48pm |

The Kappa15LF is on the least preferred end of the scale from the PD154 and the Delta15LF is probably a fair way down from that!
I think I've tried modelling one in a reflex cab, nothing you can do makes the plot look anything like a good reflex driver. It's parameters are miles off being useful. Qes of 0.52??? The only thing I'd suggest using them for is bass guitar. Here's Eminences suggested designs and plots: http://www.eminence.com/pdf/cab-delta-15lfa.pdf Edited by ceharden - 20 March 2007 at 10:08pm |

Yeah the Eminence Delta 15LF has a QTS of 0.48 meaning it would need a really large reflex to sound good.
BL of 14.6 T-M is pretty poor too, so definatly rules out horn use.
EBP of 75 so not suitable for horn anyway.
Large reflex is the only thing I'd say it would sound good in.

I haven't actually used a PD154 but I did use some Kappa15LF's for a while (not in HD15's). There are definitely better sounding drivers out there.
If you can afford it, I think it's worth paying the extra for the better drivers. |

Cheers Chris. Money's a bit tight at min so I may have to go with kappa's (it'll save me at least £100 per pair)

Someone else might be able to help here but it's worth checking out if there is a P-Audio driver available that might be suitable.Something with a cast aluminium frame etc.
