Ok...
it seems that my question goes beyond the technical aspects ...

Maybe some of forum members has made some tests with the PD 1850/2 ?

In fact, I have to change speakers in some of my scoops cabs...until today
I used PD 1850, will I know some big differences if I use PD 1850/2 ?

Thanks for your help.

How did your testing go?

Mate offering me one of these, need to know if worth buying.

Not bothered if works same as 1850 series 1, just need to know if it's just as strong.

Heard many bad stories of the new driver, then heard a new crew run them and sound not very GD...too many variables to say why. Another occassion recently heard another new crew run them, now the sound of the driver was very nice and also the spl was good. I still haven't tested any myself as ive been 'away from the game' the Las 6 months. But from what I heard and felt recently I don't think the newer 1850/2 is a bad driver and Half of the really bad press probably had a hidden agenda. That's my 2p

Does it sound to you, like it can take the same punishment as PD1850 series 1, in the "right" box?

From 2x different people, who have tested the driver, got completely contradicting reports.
