I do remember seeing a number of those big Carlsbro 100 watt valve slaves in various dodgem payboxes over the years. Would love to get my hands on some even now. The whole Ali front panel had the word slave engraved into it.

I do love old fairground sound systems.  Some older system speakers look like they have a 15" driver and loaded with 8 piezo tweeters, look proper old skool and sound quite good

BTW Like you retro decks on your ride!

SimmsWatts amps were the order of the day from way down West. Together with Orange Vinyl covered speakers to be cheap copies of the real "orange" bins.

One of the dodgem sets that visited us had some kind of deck with an auto-changer, suspended like 'Speedway' has got.

Instructions:
- Pile 10 45's on.
- Press play
- erm
- that's it really
- when all 10 have played, take off and put back on again.

Long gap between each as the needle went back the next one dropped and the needle returned.

Jeeesus - I am getting old.

Hi Ian it's John here from the fair

They was built by calsbro for James mellors there was many configs I'm doing some up for a mate at the moment

These are loaded with celestion bx18 some sort of piezo horn and 6 Motorola piezo and two ton of lead I think the weight of them

But the best ones I heard was jbl loaded for a waltzer and they had concrete in the bottom to stop them moving hate to of carried them so I think it depended on what you wanted to spend at the time

There must of made a fair few cabinets tho they done a calsbro showmans amp aswell I have one some where they was, known for going dc
