As is the case with most giant woofers I have seen. May work some how in infinite baffle or free-air installations, but motor is way too weak for such a large cone to get it moving and keep it under control in small sealed or similar enclosures. 40" is the largest available unless you design it yourself, and then it isn't really recommended. The 60" is likely made by these guys: http://www.ad-audio.com They have a 50" and an 80": http://www.ad-audio.com/web/Carbon_Cone_SUBWOOFER/80inch/Neodyminm/32.html They're an OEM manufacturer, and supply to a bunch of brands. LOL On the serious side, it is shit. I have seen and heard that thing in frankfurt. It has like 85db sensitivity and dont go loud at all even with the wind blowing in right direction. ;) |
