Drawmer DL221 Banging

   Hi, I've a problem with my Drawmer dl221, when the makeup gain is adjusted too quickly it sends a bang through the system like unplugging a mic with the phantom on. Anyone any ideas what could create a problem like that? I am going to take it apart tomorrow. I don't think it has ever been recapped, could that be a reason for a problem like this?
