Anyone any ideas what this driver may have been???  Hopefully the design of the rear of the magnet may help identify it?

Came out of an unidentifiable bandpass box in a local bar. Been in there for years.  No obvious markings on the driver although hard to tell without cleaning all the crap off it.

4" voicecoil.  Cast chassis.  Binding posts on opposite sides of the driver rather than together.  Pretty hefty magnet - driver must be 10-12kgs.

Cheers..

That saved a lot of trawling websites.  Presumably a 15G400 - will compare it to a PDF..

Rather than start a new thread, thought I'd bump this one as it's two years old now. Can anyone help identify these and should I keep with them, or replace?

No, I really don't know what I'm doing...

Thanks Robbo, are the drivers worth keeping or swapping out in your opinion?

Best I can do cabinet wise as the file size was too big.

Just noticed the other cabinet which might be a better picture?

They are 15" diameter.

Would you believe that is one of my old Mega cabinets from the 1970s--Driver is a JBL 2226H 8 ohm 15" .
It needs to be wired reverse phase as that driver works backwards to all other drivers so make sure that your live wire goes to the black terminal and neutral goes to the red terminal.

I've not checked the wiring, it is undisturbed so will get someone to take a look for me. Being colour blind does throw up some limitations; especially when dealing with electrics so thank you for the warning!

It's fantastically well made and still going strong. Looking forward to sanding it down and giving a refurb.
