The biggest change in audio in the last 10 - 20 years in terms of DSP, is integrated DSP amplifiers. Which frankly is fantastic from my point of view. If i never have to sit down and punch KF850 dsp settings in to a DP226 or a FDS366T again all for better!
That said lake load library settings are surprisingly good! Their setting for a Q7-QSub system on a PLM actually sounded considerably better than D&B OEM amps. You wont see many old Lakes out on tour anymore because the Lake hardware beyond LM has been discontinued and parts from music group are pretty much obsolete now. Shame music group are so rubbish. That said I have 3 Lake Contours in a venue sounding fresh day in day out still :) thats a whole lot of DSP for the money! Paid like £300 each for my Contours.
