Just purchased an e100 to run sub (punishers) and kick. 1st night out and once it was all warmed up, we started turning it up to see what it can do. It then hit the reds very quickly ( punished.) On doing so, all the lights then stayed on and wouldn't go off even when turned down. Turned it in and off and went back to normal. Then it did it again. It wasn't even getting the heat sinks on the punishers warm. This time we turned it up a bit more and it continued working fine. Didn't give the puns the hard running we were planning and the amp never stopped. Any thoughts please? We've used e45's and k8's on the punishers previously and I was underwhelmed by the SPL before it hit red on the e100. 3 puns a side btw

have you checked the drivers? A faulty driver can make an amplifier clip very early. Just a thought

This doesn't sound right, Our E-100s have quite a bit more headroom than an E-45, you sure its a E-100 not a lower model with the wrong front ?

100% e100. Baffled as to why the lights locked on but could continue to increase the power. Best send it to mc for a looking over I guess

How many drivers on each channel? Could you have been hitting the overall current limit on the PSU? It's one of the downsides to 4ch amps, getting the power in.

As an experiment maybe try 1 or 2 channels running flat out.

It had been serviced before we bought it. We had 3 punishers a side on two channel's. But rh channels with the puns did it at the same time, both times. We've run 6 puns, off two channels of an e45, previously and you couldn't breath in front of the stack

We've used the venue/room/ power supply previously. The punishers were not stacked in a block of six due to low ceiling, but as I said, we've used the room before.

Are you sure you don't have the Power Reduction Control switched on?
