I welcome some of his experiments, trying to build a driver from scratch is something I might do with my kids over a rainy half term holiday. Bit of harmless fun.

What fecks me off, is trying to pass that driver off as the answer to audio nirvana, and it will be better than anything made before, yet in reality, could have just bought a £5 Chinese driver from the bay, and actually be making some sound.

Then couple in the regurgitation of BS passed as fact, which, lets be honest is the internet way these days. How many FB "friends" have you got , where they pop up a clearly scam/spam message that they think must be true, because someone who claims to be authoritative told them it was fact.

I had one the other day on FB, an acquaintance put up a post telling facebook, in some form of legalaise, that she had rights to her posts and pictures, and facebook didn't, and that this post would make it legally binding in her favour. It was only until someone pointed out how often this same post had been doing the rounds, for about 4 years, and was utter shite, that she stopped defending it.

And that is the problem with forums and the internet. It isn't trolling per se, but it is regurgitating BS, which if you do it enough, sheeple start believing as fact. Sheeple cannot see wood for trees.

Let him make a 50W ish home brew amp for fun, let him post how he did it, get Abletronics to scope it if you feel you have to, but when it comes to telling the industry that socapex is junk, because he once used something completely different, spin on. The last thing you want is a noob buying the SELV small socapex, and sticking 6 channels of dim down it.

Any one is welcome here, but to learn, and chip in with genuine ideas, a novel idea may move things on - Martinsson's work is case in point, sprung up from no where, and demonstrates a fair degree of knowledge gleaned from web and experience and experiment, and then supplies/rediscovers a very out of fashion, but completely valid solution to our needs. Just for fun!

When forums/internet work well, they are awesome - real dissemination of ideas and thoughts that can solve problems. However, so much, especially over the last few years, is the basis of fake news, or perhaps fake facts. Wikipedia is not wholly factual, unless the article is properly written, and cites its sources, which are then available for evaluation as to there provenance.

When was the last time you read something on Wikipedia, and actually clicked through the cited references, and actually read those sources, to verify their authority?

I ditched FB for that reason - never looked back. I hear you - everyone is welcome. People have been banned on here for a lot less though. Perhaps he just needs telling to STFU on every single thread.

My point is after the passage of time, his ramblings may be incorrectly though of as truth..

Or perhaps I'm just Grumpy and we all should carry on having a laugh.

Failing that put him in a locked room with Kyle for 60 minutes LOL

That's mean. And we don't do torture in the western world. (officially)

I'd say let this thread be a warning and hopefully it does its job. No harm on someone's own experiments but as mentioned, passing on completely false information on some other threads isn't ok.

And to the man himself: Teemu, en tieda mika sua vaivaa, mutta ota jo opiksesi ettei aina kannata olla suutaan aukomassa asioissa joista ei ihan oikeasti tieda mitaan. Ole hiljaa ja lue ja opi. Jos on kysyttavaa niin kysy suoraan, mutta lue ja ymmarra vastaus.

Ok....Whilst the photos are great fun, with an almost childish quality, i have left the thread alone due to the laugh-factor of the images alone, however if it is starting to annoy fellow members, then i will of course remove it.

By the way, if any of his daft off-topic posts appear in other threads, just make me aware, will remove them.  Thumbs Up
Be seeing you.

Wasn't there some bloke called "Timmy", before my time?
