Hello you beautiful bunch! :)
I got my hands on a second hand Electro-voice CP 2200 but it isn't switching on, obvious that the fuse is missing as the entire fuse holder, fuse clip and fuse holder carrier is gone. I've found the service manual in German and it is a 12.5 A 250V slow blow: https://audio-circuit.dk/downloads/dynacord/Dynacord-CL2200-pwr-sm.pdf So oh hive mind what size is the fuse that needs to be replaced a 5 X 20 mm or 6.3 X 35 mm and is there somewhere I can buy the replacement housing/holder or is there a simple easy bodge for this? :) Edited by BIGMIKE666 - 18 August 2021 at 2:58pm |

Probably one of these:
(the cap determines the fuse size, not the body) https://uk.farnell.com/schurter/0031-3571/fuse-holder-5-x-20mm-pcb-mount/dp/7519503?ost=0031.3571 PS: one on ebay: shurter fuse carrier Edited by kedwardsleisure - 18 August 2021 at 2:10pm |

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for this! :) So the amp takes a 5 X 20 MM 12.5 Amp 250V Slow blow! Awesome! Edited by BIGMIKE666 - 18 August 2021 at 2:42pm |

If my memory is right about the shurter fuseholders that Dynacord (who built your amp) used, the body of the holder is the same for 5x20mm and 1/4 x 1-1/4in fuses. It's only the little cap that changes.
So if you order the one I linked-to, you can fit a 5x20. But if prefer the larger fuse you can order the corresponding cap for that. Make sure either way it's a ceramic HRC fuse. |
