The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

Who is the provider of your email account? Whoever it is they should make that information available on their website on perhaps literature they have sent you in the past.

Yeah, assuming PC hit the advanced button, my mail server requires authentication, try use same credentials, if not then you goto use you main BT account log-in, BT went passworded a while ago, has the advantage you can send mail from wherever as you don't need a BT IP address to hit their relay, but is a pain if you don't know the correct ID!!!
