Answer to my own question, here's a link to Staipers simulation and another, perhaps more realistic one by Djim:

Sure you can ,its pretty similar to the b&c tbx100 which is designers no1 choice as i noticed. Should even outplay it easily.
Also i think this design i quite forgivable on driver choice. Tried a pd1850 out of fun,as you would expect the sound was a bit cold and hard but the spl was scoop like . All depends on what ur after and im sure the beyma will rock in the cyclops. Edited by Sypa - 26 July 2015 at 7:27pm |

Any link to the simulations for all three versions?
I'm wondering how rcf lf18x451 will do, a bit cheaper than b&c sw115, but similar in performance with regards to xmax & aes rating.. -I know I posted links above, it's pretty good and there's another link on the page before, just seems like there's no new realistic sim for the cbx, only th cbe, perhaps I should go to diy thread and solve it. SUGGESTION: It's seems to be a evergoing problem to find newest simulations & mods in the long threads about speaker designs (I've spent hours in the Xco1 th-18 & invader thread) Wouldn't it be a nice idea to open a WIKI where we could all update the wiki with new sims & mods? Guess I could have it setup! Edited by tv00 - 03 October 2015 at 11:47am |

35hz setting would be ok for the hpf..you will have enough mechanical protection for your woofer..but I normal go 40hz especially when Im using more than 2 bins. 140hz for the lpf is fine.
