If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.

Hi Dub When it says that ‘cannot be stopped right now’ means that
the hard drive is in use and for the safety of operations the computer will
never stop the hard drive and let it be ejected. So before ejecting close all
the programs and all the files and folders on the external hard drive. Some time
it also happens that external hard drive contains malware or virus and they are
active (running) in the back ground in this case your computer will not let you
stop the hard drive because for computer the hard drive is in use. Try to clean your hard drive it will fix your problem. Important thing about losing your data. When the external hard drive is properly stopped and ejected
the computer rechecks that all the data transferred
from the hard drive or to the hard drive is completed or not, when checks are
ok then computer put the heads of hard
drive in parking position.so the platters of the hard drive will be safe from
getting damaged by accidental shock (touching heads on the platters and
creating bad sectors) so if the hard drive is not properly ejected the heads
are not parked in this case a small shock can damage your hard drive. |
