Hi There, now i have a project for my 480sqm BAR in My country In Bali,. i'm thinking for install a better sound quality for my bar and sometimes for a live music & after 12am we start a DJ show till close.
so its mean i need a better punch for bass.. do you guys think i better use a Funktion-one res2 4pcs with F218 for 4pcs.
or DAS Vantec 215A 4pcs as a main, UX218A for 4pcs and action 512a as a delayed speaker ?
i hope you can help me to decided. 🙏
thank you so much

DAS.. for sure.. F1 doesnt sound good on all types of music. In specific types of music, F1 is the best. But there are many examples of F1 failing big when not playing the type of music its designed for.
DAS are general purpose. And also packs some hefty amplifiers. And they make theire own drivers. Its all in-house. Havent heard a DAS rig that sounded bad :) And that UX sub looks to be a rather fun box.

go on then, provide some examples which weren't a piss poor soundman, red lining DJ, or rig run by prepubescent schoolboys with rich parents and a nose full of class A's. All brands of speakers can sound crap when run by muppets. Likewise, i have done some decent sounding mixes on dodgy bar soundlab rigs. |

I heard a terrible DAS rig in a club in croatia. It's was so uncomfortable to listen to we actually left as a result.
Wasn't the gear but how it was set up, but that's the point.

I can provide plenty of examples of F1 sounding plain out bad. They really dont work good on live sound. Playback? Piece of cake.. live... Still havent heard a F1 sounding good in a live setup.

Come to think aout it, i have heard a bad DAS system. The ST2000 system top box. Those 15“ vented and hornloadet dont sound good. Something is far of with that construction. Like the sound isnt coming out of the box. Marjan do you have any MM kit running in Denmark ? Would love to hear some.

Quite a few people I know here bought RCF SUB 8003/8004 cabs. They reckon that they are best general purpose subs they have ever tried. Lots of SPL, good clarity, very good low-end, etc. |

Enough SPL yes, real low-end. No.. Their own response graphs show not much activity below 50 Hz.

Have you taken a look at Amate Audio? Formerly known as Master Audio.
They do some great stuff. Not cheap... I have had the former P series. 4x P15A and 4 P18SWA. All 18sound loaded. Those 4 subs stacked together made a serious amount of low end. The bigger stuff they do, are right up there with the rest of the big boys :)
