At a guess I'd say Scruffy James from Sheffield Big smile
Never criticise another man until you've walked a mile in his shoes. Once you have, call him what you like, you're a mile away and you've got his shoes!

Yup, James who used to be a mod on here. Just send him a message through ebay if you wish to buy them, it's quite easy.

Reading the description, he wants offers over £2500 for the lot...although oddly he has set the Buy-it-now at £1850?
Be seeing you.

A very big F2 system was stripped for parts a short while ago. It was very sad to see that happen.

It's been on eBay for a while, I think he's just reduced the price. Needs the space for blue furry things ;)

Totally agree Colin....there is a bloke on FB rig-resale and Vintage JBL, allways buying lovely systems and breaking them up to sell all the components for a huge profit....very sad.  Ouch

Unusual to see these come up for sale, looks like a nice restoration project for somebody.

The "EPA" markings indcate that the original owners were Encore, who were one of the UK's major F2 users.

A few notes regarding the description:  the rounded corner grilles were actually the later version, the square corner version is older. The compression drivers would originally all have been 16 ohms (2445J and 2426J).
And I strongly advise that the buyer gets the original transformers, as offered by the seller, and rewires the protective filters as original.

I'd be inclined to use a modern digital controller these days. Well-used MX4's, being at least 25 years old, are only worth having if you want them for vintage authenticity and have experience of refurbishing the electronics.
